In poverty I dream of labour / Wish I was normal

 Fall

1.In the midst of winter

My heart became a snowflake,

And it touched the ground

With the force of an earthquake.

2.At the dawn of spring

It slipped into a river,

And melted away,

Too cold to even shiver.

3.In the midst of summer

Things will be set free,

But the wait is too long,

I won’t be here to see.

I'm so sad I could write a poem

 Bad joke

1.My life is in ruins,

I ruined it myself,

Like an ancient writing

Turns to dust when on its shelf.

2.I didn’t ask for one,

But can we have two, please?

One for entertainment,

One for falling on your knees.

3.When did it become this?

When did it fall apart,

A silent domino

Aiming straight at my heart.

4.My life is a bad joke,

I stumble in my dreams

And when I look around

It’s just me not laughing.

If you come only when you need me: GTFO.

 Running out

1.I’m running out of patience,

You’re running out of time,

At least where I am at now

I don’t count every dime.

2.I’m running out of feelings,

You’re running out of soul,

Somehow your broken pieces

Don’t add to make a whole.

3.I’m running out that door now,

Out of ways to look sad,

What can I say, man up girl,

The pain lies in your head.

4.What is the last thing you see

When you look at the sky?

They say forgiveness tastes sweet,

But revenge makes you high.

What is even real?

 Dissonance

1.Is it really tragedy,

This darkness embracing me?

This cognitive dissonance

Is a God damn nuisance.

2.Is it all really that bad?

Or is it just in my head,

Things taken too seriously,

Or a harsh reality?

3.A flesh wound, or just a scratch,

Missing eye, or just a patch?

Everyone says I’m lucky,

All I feel is misery.

4.Only the passing of time

Can put an end to my mind,

This cognitive dissonance

Is my deepest nuisance.

Sometimes we forget who we are

 Never ever

1.I will never ever talk

About clouds having a walk,

I will never ever try

To make my dull phrases fly.

2.I will always want to sing

Of all things which burn and sting,

And nothing can make me stay

When I want to go away.

3.I will always want to write

About how white-haired boys fight,

And nothing can dim my light,

Not the cold and not the night.

4.I will never ever toil,

Die on someone else’s soil,

You will never ever see

Someone who cares less than me.

Pain without research

 Emigrant song

1.Escape from local misery into another misery,

What’s the use?

The grass isn’t always greener the streets aren’t any cleaner,

Tell the truth.

2.Escape from a small salary into a lavish gallery,

Ain’t in strange?

From a smaller uncertainty into a fake stability,

Why the change.

3.You run away from a problem, but honey, it is you, not them,

What’s the deal?

Unless you’re running after gold instead of sleeping in the cold,

You won’t heal.

4.And maybe it will all end well,’cause really who am I to tell

Of your dreams,

It’s a pity to go amiss without knowing that nothing is

What it seems.

Too late for some things

 Too late

1.Why the heck do you bother?

We don’t care for each other.

Why the heck does this shake you?

Your child’s tears couldn’t break you.

2.Why the heck do you judge me?

You were deaf, I was hungry.

When you are down with fever,

I won’t care if you shiver.

3.Why can’t we just stay blissful?

Ignorant, smiling, peaceful,

Never bring up the falsehood

Of the little things we could.

4.Why the heck do you bother?

I won’t change for an other,

And while your heart is aching,

I write poetry naked.
