Three wishes
Isn’t there a world,
Isn’t there a thing,
Where the attention you get
Equals how much you bring.
No matter how you shout,
No matter what you drink,
How much leather you wear,
Or how often you blink.
Can’t we live two lives
In separate dimensions,
I’d give one to the world,
But have the consolation,
The second one would be
A stylish work of art,
No matter its duration,
I’d just follow the heart.
Isn’t there a spell,
To bring things to life,
If you still believe in them,
Why shouldn’t they ignite?
It would turn glass buildings
Into the tallest trees,
And the ones who killed them,
Into underground springs.
