The Loneliness
1.Am I the only one
With a young soul in an old
body,
“No”, said all,
But the fall
And the dried leaves overall.
“Yes, you are,
How bizarre…”
Said some voices from afar.
2.Am I the only one
Who’s looking young, but
thinking old,
“Yes, you are,
Unfortunately,
If you weren’t, where would
we be?”
“No, flyleaf,
What a grief!”,
Said a dull empty time thief.
3.So next time you think you
are
The one in inverted colors,
Don’t ask yourself,
Weird stuff it tells,
Go live on the higher
shelves.
Who knows who
You’ll bump into,
Maybe me, cuz I’m like you.
