A Midsummer Night's Dream

 Windows

1.We’d sleep at night with windows wide open,

When the room melts we can melt away,

We’d sleep at night with windows wide open,

If it gets unpleasant, why would we stay?

2.We’d sleep outside on the balcony floor,

Cool summer breeze embracing our nap,

No air conditioning, fans, anything,

Newest technology couldn’t keep up.

3.Then we’d wake up with windows still open,

Dreams would fill the room, some lush, some sad,

I’d turn my back to the world once again,

Courtains would dance, I wouldn’t give a damn.
