Manifest against the possible gold mine from Rosia Montana, Romania

Rosia Montana Ballad
-manifest against the gold mine from Rosia Montana, Romania-

There he was, a jobless  guy
Living underneath the sky
And the stars were beautiful
But the hunger – too painful.
One day, a black limo came
It said: “Boy, let’s start a game.
You will earn a lot of gold
If you do what you are told.”
So he forgot nature’s song
And learned how to play along
After a glass of red wine
He joined the limo’s gold mine.

But if he took some time to think
He would hear his angel sing:
“Man don’t do it,
Don’t mess up your fate
You’ll be sorry,
But it will be too late.
These high mountains
Don’t desearve such a wound
Don’t hurt them
‘Cause you’re destroying a bond.

Man don’t do it,
Don’t mess up your fate
You’ll be sorry,
But it will be too late.
When you’re wounded
Nature will be here
But all black limos
Will disappear.”

There he was, mining for gold
Making the mountains unfold
His payment was all it mattered
While outside, the mountains shattered.
Greed was swelling in his head
While outside the birds fell dead.
One day, the hard work was over
He went outside to recover
But instead the long lost mountains
All he saw were bloody fountains.

Now he’s jobless, in despair
And the black  limos don’t care.
There is nothing left to lose
He drinks 3 bottles of booze
Anger’s boiling in his chest
And he goes to Bucharest
This one he will not repent :
He’ll burn down the government!

But if he took some time to think
He would hear his angel sing:
“Man don’t do it,
Don’t mess up your fate
If you’re here
It’s already too late.
You’ve got a cute girl
And she’s waiting in bed
She won’t be happy
With a spirit instead.

Man don’t do it,
Don’t mess up your fate
If you’re here then
It’s already too late.
Your gang’s all waiting
For you in the bar
Why don’t you smoke some weed
Instead of starting a war.”
