Neocolonialism

Once you owe them

1.Don’t get so impressed,
You’ll soon get depressed,
By glass buildings well lit,
Confinement in it.

2.Don’t leave home your mind,
They are only kind
When they owe you a bit,
If not…that was it.

3.Don’t get so impressed,
‘Cause they are well dressed
And that twinkling watch
Hides a deadly touch.

4.Why want a handshake,
It’s your hand they’ll break,
Things are only sweet
When they owe you a bit.

5.Don’t get so impressed,
They make folks undressed,
And those blinding teeth
Hide lions beneath.

6.New colonial minds
Watch over bee hives,
Things won’t be so neat
Once you owe them a bit.
