I screw up badly sometimes

 Weltanschauung

1.You don’t know me, I’m an eclipse,

The dark parts are the ones you miss,

The silver lining’s when I smile,

But that only lasts a short while.

2.You don’t know me, I’m like a snake

And when the old winter skin breaks,

That’s when I break free yet again,

It happens every now and then.

3.My old poems sound kind of lame,

I am, in fact, a bit ashamed,

My Weltanschauung changed in time,

I only keep them for the rhyme.

4.I don’t know me, I tend to rip

The fruit before they become sweet,

My roots before they become strong,

To write new poems, sing new songs.

My bad

 Pride

1.Behind every glance to the side

Lied so much ignorance and pride,

Behind every pretentious song

Lied the failure to play along.

2.Behind each rolling of the eyes

Slept an ego to satisfy,

Behind each well thought irony

Lurked much incapability.

3.Behind each counting of the dimes

Hides a yearning to turn back time,

All can be summed up in one thought:

I should have cared more than a lot.

Unipolar world

 Hot War

1.Big words are bland and overdone,

This place abounds in charlatans,

Back off the glass door, everyone,

Because when the time comes, I’m done.

2.This place feels like a beggars’ tree,

Not owned by working honey bees,

But occupied by wannabees

Who spit their venom overseas.

3.Never believe what you are told,

Saviors are only after gold,

The only ones who can grow old

And wage wars which might not be cold.
